The Motown Museum Board of Trustees has made the proactive decision to temporarily close the museum through January 31st, 2021 due to the high volume of COVID-19 cases in the region.
Thank you again for your interest in visiting Motown Museum. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Our Health & Safety Protocols
Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our team and guests. Working in close alignment with CDC recommendations, Motown Museum has adopted new protocols that must be adhered to by all visitors.
If you are showing any COVID-19 symptoms or answer YES to any of our health screening questions, we will not be able to offer the museum experience to you on that day. This is for the protection, wellbeing, health and safety of all.
Motown Museum is now also home to Cleanville USA—we are launching enhanced safety protocols for cleanliness and sanitation. Here’s what we are doing to ensure the museum is sparkling each and every day.
- Hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the museum
- Museum staff will regularly clean and sanitize museum surfaces at least once per hour
Our Approach to Social Distancing
The act of social distancing is an integral part of our health and safety protocol. To ensure all visitors are following this important practice, Motown Museum has made a few modifications to the campus and retail experience.
- Motown-themed signage has been placed throughout the museum to create awareness of proper physical distancing between guests
- Our doors are closed for now, but our online store is open. Shop Around the Motown Museum Online Store.
We are encouraging any interested guests to make a goodwill donation—whatever additional amount they feel comfortable contributing—towards the important work we do daily. Donate here!
We are full of gratitude for the Motown fans around the world who have connected and supported us during this unprecedented time.
We can’t wait to see you.
