Program Details
SPARK is a day camp for middle school-aged youth designed to explore career opportunities available in the music industry and to develop their artistic talent. Our campers have spent two weeks in Motown Museum’s new facility Hitsville NEXT building self-confidence, enhancing personal expression and teamwork skills, developing their comfortability performing on stage all while learning about the history of one of Detroit’s iconic contributions to pop culture and the lessons to be learned from the legacy of Motown Records.
Join us on their last day of camp as they perform the Classic Motown Hits “Dancing in the Street” by Martha and the Vandellas & “My Girl” by The Temptations, as well as a few of their own arrangements created during camp.
Bring your own lawn chair but be ready to dance with us for this brief performance in celebration of our Spark Campers Final Showcase!
This event is free and open to the public.
