JOIN US AS WE HONOR DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
In honor of Dr. King’s enduring legacy and impactful advocacy for civil rights, our Hitsville NEXT spoken word artists will present a special poetry display during each guided tour throughout the day.
Furthermore, we are delighted to announce the “Speak Your Dream: Poetry Workshop” aimed at strengthening our community voices. Taking place from 12-4 PM, this workshop, facilitated by Motown MIC finalists, will delve into the art of crafting haikus, acrostic poems, and spoken word pieces. Participants will focus on the theme “Dream,” contributing to the rich history of Motown’s Black Forum label and echoing Dr. King’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech recorded on the Gordy label in 1963.
As an added bonus, the first 50 guests will receive gift bags equipped with tools to elevate their writing skills. Join us for an empowering day of creativity and reflection.
