Drey Skonie is a WDET Sounds Like Detroit Finalist!

Attention music lovers of Metro Detroit! Drey Skonie, the Amplify: The Sound of Detroit 2023 Artist of the Year, along with his talented band, are seeking your votes for the WDET Sounds Like Detroit concert.

After an impressive 100+ submissions from Metro Detroit musicians to NPR’s national Tiny Desk Contest, WDET has narrowed it down to the top 25, and it’s now up to you to vote for your favorite. You can vote once a day, and voting will conclude at 11:59 p.m. ET on July 2, 2023.

The top five entries with the most votes will be given the chance to perform at the Sounds Like Detroit concert on August 11 at New Center Park. Additionally, the fifth and sixth highest-voted submissions will get the opportunity to perform at the renowned Concert of Colors Festival in Detroit this July (date to be determined).
